Operators

There are four mathematical operators in calculated fields: add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Use brackets to group parts of your calculations. Only numeric fields (such as integer fields) can be used in numeric calculations. If an operator is used in a string-calculated field, it will act as just another character. Operators in string calculated fields will not perform any operations.

Examples:

Numeric calculation: Opportunity.Salespotential * Opportunity.Closeprobability / 100. The resulting weighted sales figure would be 100, if Sales Potential is 200 and Close Probability is 50% (stored as 50, not as 0.5).
Numeric calculation with brackets: (Opportunity.Salespotential * Opportunity.Closeprobability / 100) + 5. The resulting figure would be 105, if Sales Potential is 200 and Close Probability is 50% (stored as 50, not as 0.5).
String Calculation: Opportunity.Status + Opportunity.Account. The result is Won + Big Account if the status is Won and the Account is Big Account.
