The following table describes the default information boxes.
| Box | Description |

| Sales Order or Quote | The type of sales order. To convert a quote to a sales order, copy the quote and set the type to sales order. |
| Account | The account associated with the sales order. To find an account, click the Find button. This information is required. |
| Account Manager | The individual in your company who is
responsible for the account. Click the Find button to find the person or team within your organization that manages the account and this sales order. |
| Opportunity | The opportunity associated with the sales order. To find an opportunity, click the Find button. |
| Date Created |
The date the sales order was initiated. This only appears on the Sales Order Detail view and cannot be edited. |
| Requested By | The person who requested the sales order. Click the Find button to select a contact. |
| Date Requested | The date the customer placed the sales order. To edit, click the Calendar button to select the date. |
| Date Promised | The date the sales order is promised to be delivered to the customer. To edit, click the Calendar button to select the date. |
| Due Date | The date by which the sales order must be delivered. To edit, click the Calendar button to select the date. |
| Customer PO | The customer's Purchase Order number |
| Type | The type of sales order. The Type selected here and the sales order type (sales order or quote) may be different values. Type is a customizable pick list and may or may not contain values to match the sales order type. Click the drop-down arrow and select from the list. |
| Status | The status of the sales order. Click the |
| Shipping Cost | The cost to ship the sales order. Type the amount in the box. |
| Currency | The exchange rate for the sales order.Click the Find button to open the lookup and select an exchange rate. |
| Exchange Rate | Displays the Exchange Rate if you selected a Currency. |
| Tax Rate | The tax rate to apply to the sales order.Type the amount in the box. |
| Comments | Type any additional notes about the sales order. |
